Sun Dog Farmers

We've been going out to film Darby and Elliot since April. The farm is coming along nicely, along with robust vegetable production, they've added a bunch of heritage breed chickens, 4 goats and 5 beautiful sheep. Cory Mosser on how to be a young farmer

Burge Organic Farm

Cory Mosser has been managing Burge Organic Farm since March of this year. The farm is located at Burge Plantation in Mansfield, GA. The 2,000 acre plantation has been owned by the same family since 1809. The certified organic farm takes up 16 of those acres, growing a variety of vegetables, fruits and flowers.

GROW! Movie Teaser

Oakleaf Mennonite Farm

Tim and Krista Showalter Ehsts moved to Atlanta from Pennsylvania last year. Krista is going to Emory University for her Masters in Divinity. They are both strong proponents of food justice. Their church, Berea Mennonite has provided the land surrounding the church in East Atlanta for their farm. They have 25 CSA members and sell at East Atlanta Village Farmers Market.

Celia Barss (FARM!) has been the farm manager of Woodland Gardens in Winterville, GA for the last 6 years. She grows tons of fruits, vegetables and flowers. Last year she added chickens, this year she added 3 beehives.

The Interns at Serenbe



In April we posted the first pictures at Serenbe. We've been back a number of times since and its great to see the "farmerization" taking place with the newbies. Gretchen and Ashley now move with confidence and speed. They've got skills!!!
John Davis is a new intern who will be at Serenbe for the rest of the growing season. He is a wanna/gonna be farmer, interested in food justice.

Manyfold Farm




Today we had the pleasure of hanging out with Rebecca and Ross Williams, first year farmers who are raising sheep on 101 beautiful acres. For some great reading on all things agrarian check out their blog The Dirty Way.
